At $10 per month, this was affordable at my hobby level . Not using It everyday but only for a small project here and there . $40 per month equals $480 per year And that is out of the price range for my hobby The Competition's software will Do everything I need. So will free offerings. Perhaps they need different price levels.. I made a 3D potato! Looks nice, just what I needed for my potato project!. ATTENTION: it can allways and anytime happen out of the blue that RC lost the connection to steam, and then your work is lost whatsoever. No chance to save, no chance to reconnect. What ever you have done, it is lost.other than that, its great.. quite fast and quite accuratedoes what it saysa card with good amount of VRAM is a near must , else displaying the rendered mesh can be a problem.although there are work arounds. 8gb ram is the stated minimum, 16 gb is more like the real normal.and yes ,you need a NVIDIA graphic card..!!!!.AMD buffs should get ready to miss out on some of the features.ite graphics card does bulk of the work .... CUDA cores essentially.. This is not a review of the software's quality and capabilities so much as a response to the other reviews which report problems with the software communicating with the the licensing server. In 100+ hours of use over one week, I have experienced 1 single problem/disconnect during which time the CapturingReality website was offline and/or unreachable for ~15 minutes (my internet was working but the CapturingReality website was returning a 503 error page). This server-side problem disrupted the software on my client-side, interrupting a 90 minute process at the 60 minute mark, compelling me to start the process again (and therefore costing me 60 minutes). However, all in all, the software has been able to communicate with the licensing server for over 99% of the time, and I would happily recommend it to others on that count.. Out of ten attempts I have successfully loaded this program once. During that use I was only able to create an object with reasonably unwrapped UVs once as well - all other object attempts used less than 5% of the available UV space. Cannot recommend it until they fix numerous issues crippling its use.A lot of people have recommended this as the best photogrammetry tool but I'm not seeing it. Faster and failed is not better than slower and successful.. Why can not renew?？？？？？？. When it runs, the software gives excellent results but it often won't run. I've been using RealityCapture for a year or so now and enjoy its speed and the quality of the reconstructions. However, I have had issues with the Steam version, it often crashes or loses connection to Steam, causing me to lose my work. It appears the Steam version of RealityCapture has been having this issue for quite a few months now https://steamcommunity.com/app/489180/discussions/0/1696048426815193753/.I still recommend RealityCapture, as I said the final models are my favorite of any similar software. But I recommend you purchase it from their website, not the steam version.. I'm from Turkey and I can't run RC without using vpn.
